An estimated five million people worldwide are living with Parkinson’s disease — the second most common brain disease. In the United States, 60,000 new cases will be diagnosed this year alone. Currently, there is no cure for Parkinson’s disease. But together, we can change this.

I am honored to be participating in an event that's hosted by my friend and fellow Pilates student, Gail Oliver. It's the Tips for Parkinson's DC fundraising event to benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. After Gail’s mom passed away from complications due to Parkinson’s in 2004, she and her husband Patrick became very involved in Team Fox, hosting fundraisers to help speed the cure, including this amazing event.

If you would like to support by donating or just learn more, please checkout my page at tips.michaeljfox.org/washington-dc/ . Plus, you can come see me slinging drinks with my bartending Team Tipsy Teaser at the big event on May 9th! Please feel free to spread the word by sharing this email or posting on social media.

By supporting me, your gift will make a real difference. In fact, 100 percent of all donations made to Tips for Parkinson's will go directly to The Michael J. Fox Foundation’s high-impact research programs. That means every penny of your support will have maximum impact on our goal: a cure for PD.

Join me in helping to close the gap -- donate today!

Thank you! - Shelley
